After High School Jon started attending college at St. Petersburg Junior College in Florida where he took accounting and computer programming classes, all the while he remained in the kitchen. He soon realized that sitting behind a desk was not for him, and pursued his passion and went to Culinary School. Jon started at Johnson & Wales at the South Carolina Campus. After one year, he then moved on to the Providence Rhode Island campus and graduated with an associate's degree in Culinary Arts.
Upon Graduation from Johnson & Wales, Jon was an apprentice at the Johnson & Wales Inn in Seekonk, Massachusetts. His first Executive Chef position was at the Marco Island Suite Beach Resort in Marco Island, Florida. He then moved onto the Inverness Resort and Golf Club in Englewood, Colorado as the Chef Garde Manger, Banquet Chef and Restaurant Chef. Then opportunity came at Pour La France as Executive Chef in Denver, CO. Jon has more recently held chef positions at Auberge Du Soleil in Napa Valley, California, The Grand California Hotel at Disneyland and The Paradise Pier Hotel in Anaheim, California as Executive Banquet Chef.
Our amusement Park appealed to Jon for many different reasons, one being our cultural uniqueness and his ability to reflect that with the cuisine his team prepares. He has definitely found a home here at Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass.
